Persuasive Writing-We should drink water every day.

WALT to use the correct structure for Persuasive Writing.
We should drink water every day

I think we should drink water every day

Firstly I think we should drink water every day because if we don’t drink water our lips and body would be really dry on hot days.

Secondly I think we should drink water every day because water is better than any other drink because other drinks like fizzy or juice has sugar, water does not have sugar in it.

Another reason why I think we should drink water every day is because it will help you swallow properly and spreads all the nutrients from the food you eat, around your body.

Lastly I think we should drink water every day because water keeps your temperature normal, especially on hot hot days.

So that’s why I think we should drink water every day.

Persuasive Writing-Kapahaka is important to learn.

WALT use the correct structure for Persuasive Writing.
20/09/17
Kapahaka is important to learn.

I think that kapahaka is important to learn.
First I think kapahaka is important because you learn lots of songs and actions.

Secondly I think kapahaka is important because we learn how to keep the beat by actions and waewae takahia.

Another reason why I think kapahaka is important is because we learn to sing in time and in tune.

Lastly I think kapahaka is important because so we can get fit from moving all the time.

So that’s why I think kapahaka is important to learn.

Recount Writing - Tautoro Cross Country.

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for Recount Writing.
Tautoro Cross Country
Ready, set, go!” shouted Whaea Rosina.
The race was at my teacher's house. Her name is Mrs Paraha. My whole school was there on Wednesday morning.
I started my race with 5 people. I was coming 5th but then I over took 2 people. First I over took 3 more people. Next I ran up the hill. It was very tiring.
My side felt like I got stabbed with a knife because I was running so fast up the hill. Next I got my first mark. I said,
“One more lap to go.” When I got down the hill Miss Simeon said, “Straight through the water V.J it’s not fun if you don’t run through the water.”  So I went straight through the water. I felt cool when I went through the silvery water.
Then I started to run around the cones.
My legs felt like wobbly jelly. My heart was pounding.  After that I ran through the last bit of the course.
I got tired so I had a little rest. My Uncle Joe said, “Aroha is catching up with you V.J.” So I started to run as fast as I could. Later on I said, “I made it.” I heard lots of people cheering. I felt so proud of myself. So I went to Whaea Dawnette. She said, “V.J you came first place.” I forgot

what else she said. Shortly after I had a kai. It was delicious. I felt super tired after cross country day.
